Babyland General Hospital (Cabbage Patch Land)

We went to Babyland General Hospital, the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch Kids.

It is like a museum, a store, and a demonstration all in one.

It was kind of silly but fun.  Anika and Seth really enjoyed it.

This tree is Mother Cabbage.  There are sparkling fairy bunnies hanging from the tree that pollenate or something.  Random :)

These were the "doctors" that helped with the first live birth that we saw.
(All the people that work there wear scrubs.)  It's a boy!

We watched the doctors give the baby an exam through a large hospital window.
Then they brought him out for us to hold.

There were things all over the place that were for sale.  Mostly Cabbage Patch dolls and accessories and paraphernalia.  And these things... not sure what they are :)

But you could also use dolls for pretend play... cooking, feeding, washing, sleeping...

... and even doing their hair with brushes, blow dryers, and straightners!
(There were a few dolls set aside/buckled into salon chairs specifically for this.)

A pretty crown... also for sale.

A Rapunzel Cabbage Patch doll.

An Anika Cabbage Patch doll.
(I tried to tell her to put her arms out or something to take up some space, but...)

Hello Kitty

And a whole family of Cabbage Patch dolls all in one box ;)

As part of our outing we stopped at this roadside produce stand/mini-random-everything shop.  We each got to pick something to eat and we also bought some southern boiled peanuts.  They aren't that good or that bad.
Nathaniel liked them more than the rest of us.

What a hoot! I bet the live births were way different than any of the ones I've been to ;)
