Bountiful Baskets - I wish I had known about this sooner...

...So I'm telling you now.

There is this really cool co-op thing called Bountiful Baskets. You pay $15ish dollars
online on Monday or Tuesday and then go pick up your basket (or 2) of produce on Saturday.

It was really pretty exciting to see all of this produce. Nathaniel was curious to find out
how good of a deal it really is, so we weighed the produce and estimated prices
based on current grocery store offerings (a conservative estimate).

We had over 30 lbs of produce and figured it would have cost at least almost $32. Sweet!

Maybe I'll put a picture of our garden up one day, but it might make you laugh or cry.
In the meantime, here are two of our tomato plants. It is hard to see with our grass and
grapevines in the background, but there is a little one on the left and a BIG one on the right.

We got the little one late in the season as a start because our other seeds either didn't grow or
or didn't grow well. The start was already starting to flower and the growth was stunted.
It has produced some tomatoes though. The plant on the right is seriously about six feet tall!!
It is growing up through our grape vines. We started it from seed inside, and it has done
really well... sort of. We don't have control of our sprinklers so it has gotten waaaay too much water.
Nathaniel even capped off the sprinkler by it, but it keeps growing. It is finally starting to flower.
Hopefully we'll got some tomatoes before it's too late!

With green thumbs like ours this year, Bountiful Baskets is extra exciting :)

Lots of cheap food that is healthy sounds like a winner to me. You asked about baby apps, it was just Ryan being silly and comparing downloading new features for our baby to the latest internet iPhone, iTouch, iWhatever craze

Dude! Don't tell people about Bountiful Baskets. It's already too busy. 30 minutes after the start time, they were out of locations all over the valley here. But it looks like you got a few more things then we did, which makes me jealous.

We figured you guys already knew. I think the surprise of what you get is the best part, it's kind of exciting. We discovered they have one location in CO, but we can't decide if it's worth a 30 min drive.

This is awesome! We miss it! They don't have it in Texas, well at least where we live.
