Submerged Vacation Bible School

Another vacation bible school...
At First Redeemer Christian Church

Anika's and her teacher, Mrs. Marianne (dressed as a sea turtle). Sadly, Seth is too young. They raised the age cut-off but somehow offered this all for free. When we dropped Anika and Emmy off the first day, Seth took in all the sights and sounds and sadly asked, "Is this going to be fun?"

Her class helper girl, Isabella

The teachers who help the kids dance and sing during the worship rally. Anika especially likes the one in green and blue because she is always smiling.

Anika's classroom. Completely decked out!!!

A container was sent home to collect money to give to at-risk and orphaned kids here locally as well as in India. The kids will be given backpacks for school, but full of supplies like toiletries and maybe food.  I helped her do a lemonade stand (also with otter pops and some brownies), and she earned over $25!
2 1/2 hours in 90*+ weather with all 3 kids and me. Whew!

We went Wednesday night for family night. We participated in a worship rally, met teachers and showed dad her classroom.

Anika was pretty clever and pushed her hair toward her face and then put her headband on.

So decorated everywhere!

This is a hallway.  Pretty intense.

This is Anika's classroom. Completely covered!  Notice Anika on the floor by their legs.  The first day her teacher had a  jellyfish hat on.  The last day she had some snorkeling gear.

Dad "getting into it " and doing actions with Anika to the Suuuuuuuuubmerged song.
