Summer Camps & Fun

Anika went to a kids camp hosted by two of the Beehive YW in our ward (the blonde sisters kneeling, one blue shirt and one gray)  Last year was about famous women in history. This year they learned about different countries. Madeline & Raleigh did a super great job. Impressive. It was 1-1/2 hours for 4 days
Anika really admires the girls, and I'm happy to have her around them; they're good examples.

Seth seems like he could be a potential athlete. Nathaniel heard about a Mini Champs Sports Camp from a co-worker and we decided to try it. It was a couple hours/day for a week. Each day they learned the basics of a different sport and then played it. The camp included general skills as well like running, coordination, balance, etc. (as much as you can in a week anyway).
Here is Seth on the last day with his coach and his medal! He is also wearing his foam visor with sports stickers ⚽️🏀⚾️

They played soccer, basketball, t-ball and did some track & field. They also made little crafts like a fan flag and sports door hanger and colored pictures of balls. It was cute.
Here is Seth waving to me after getting his medal. What a good kid!  I almost missed it but he told his coach that I was coming, and I was!

I like how happily he is watching the other kids. Sometimes he seems so small!

We crashed Than's cubscout hike last Saturday. While most of the leaders were talking in the parking lot, the kids were playing. Seth climbed up and directed me to, "Take a picture and send it to dad!"

We went to Caney Creek Preserve. We saw a turtle.  Most of the leaders have young kids like ours, and most of the leaders brought their young kids. So there were 6 leaders, 6 young kids, a whopping 3 cub scouts, another dad and me.

My climbing kiddos!  Kari will be up there all too soon.
