YMCA

We love to play at the YMCA-A!

Seth loved jumping in and trying to do somersaults in the water with his puddle jumper on.

Kari loved being in water and with family.

Anika was barely tall enough to go down the water slide, and she loved it! She was proud of herself and we were too!

A little "Cute Kari" photo progression.  Nothing amazing, but I want it just for me.

Private Blog

I finally found who was on my email list.  It's been so long I couldn't remember!  Let me know if you would like me to take you off.

Also I plan to change the privacy setting and make my blog private.  I think.  This means I have to send you an invitation if you want to read it.  You also have to sign in to do that (which the invitation will prompt you to do)... maybe only once?

But if you are on my email list, I assume it would still email you and you wouldn't have to worry.  If that turns out to be wrong, I could consider changing the setting back.

Let me know you want to be off the email list if you are currently on.  Let me know if you aren't on but want to be added.

Also, let me know if you would like an invitation to view my blog once it is private.

You can let me know any of these things by commenting, emailing, texting, whatever...

Thanks!

Fireflies

Fireflies are one of those simple but magical things.

Even though we had put the kids to bed, we let them come out to see the fireflies.

They loved it!  Anika even caught one.

They kept trying to catch more.

Not the best pictures, but hopefully good memories!

Sleep

Sleep... I need a lot more if it. Don't we all? Thankfully kids are so cute and sweet when they are asleep.

I can't resist.

Anika and Seth are sort of starting to share a room.  This night they decided to share a bed too. And sleep upside-down.

This little one has decided to wake up between 5-6:00am and not go back to sleep. On This morning I tried to get her to play with things so I could sleep, but it didn't really work.

Swim Playgroup

We survived the first swim playgroup of the season... With three kids!

We are lucky to live very close to the fun pool where the playgroup is!

Anika still can't exactly swim, but is doing really well without her puddle jumper. She had fun doing underwater handstands and "diving" for rings and toys with her friends.

Seth likes to jump in with his puddle jumper on.

Kindergarten Kids

Last day of school! And last day of school AT this school.  All 8-9 kindergarten classes were supposed to wear their tie dye shirts.

Anika wasn't sure if she should be happy or not. Thankfully her teachers put a happy spin on things so she was okay after school.

I was not aware of a popular  "Georgia tradition" until it was too late.  It involves parents basically attacking the children as they get off the school bus.  This may include water balloons, squirt guns, buckets of water, silly string, and who-knows-what. I was a bit confused when I got an email from the school
asking parents to wait at least until the bus doors are closed and the bus has pulled away from the stop before the surprises/celebrations of water balloons and silly string begin.  Then a lady I met at a birthday party proudly and excitedly told me about what happened at her bus stop the last day. Nothing happened at ours, which is fine. Maybe it has something to do with the high percentage of kindergarteners in our neighborhood. I'm curious to know if this happens other places and how long it has been going on there.

Anyway...
Tie dye!

We went to lunch one last time AGAIN this week since Seth was devastated that we didn't buy lunch the other "last time" we went, which was our 2nd or 3rd time.

Kari came too. She did not get hot lunch but seemed okay with it.

Since I was going to have the water stuff out for preschool already, and I didn't know that I should take it to the bus stop, I decided to invite some neighbors over after school.

Elyse & Anika making "fairy soup."

Zack is on the slip 'n' slide. Will is in the sprinkler. Catherine is near Anika.

Katie on the slip 'n' slide.

Gabe and Beckham on the swings.

Seth and the pool.  I had planned on setting up our other more-fun little pool. But it was too much work so I'm glad the kids enjoyed this arrangement as much as they did.

We ended the day with a family homemade pizza and movie night.

Then a little dance party. Anika took a bunch of pictures of these two 😊
