New Year

We went to the Orem Fitness Center last night and it was packed!
All the treadmills, bikes and ellipticals were full and my aerobics class was PACKED.
I wondered if everyone was getting off to a good start on their New Year's resolutions.

I feel like I have a million things I want to do before the baby comes. One of those things
is to stock up on food to cut back on grocery shopping for awhile after baby comes.
Thankfully a couple of years ago my sister-in-law taught me this simple and
AWESOME way to keep track of our food storage. We are always eating from our
food storage because we store what we eat... imagine that. So yesterday I was able to
see what we had used over the past year (plus I can see it broken down month
by month), do an inventory of our food storage and I now have a shopping list of what
we'll need to get us to April or May! However, most of the food items we need are
things that we only buy in bulk at case lot sales. But today I was looking at the ads
and there are a bunch of sales and case lot sales with just the items we need!
It seems silly, but I was really excited and feel very blessed.

Ooooh! Can you share your lovely inventory system? I want to stock up on food too!

The gyms will slow down around February. This happens every January. Mine was crowded today too. Got some cheap cereal, very exciting! But I would also like to know the inventory system you use. There was instant oatmeal and granola bars on sale too.

You're so smart! I like the inventory system idea and have started one ourselves. I'm sure I could learn a few things from you though!

I don't think it's weird to get excited about grocery ads, but then again their arrival is one of my favorite things about Tuesdays :) Have fun shopping.
